I hope you are doing well.

Apology that my communication is coming to you at the snails rate (super slow). Our last module on social protection will be delivered through webinar, three webinars of 2 hours each.

The flyer attached has the details and the registration link. You must register in order to receive the zoom link.

Social Protection for the Inclusion of Persons with Disabilities in the Pacific

Webinar series


  *   Webinar 1 - Cash Allowance, August 12
  *   Webinar 2 -Support Services and Assistive device, August 26
  *   Webinar 3 - Disability Assessment and certification, September 2

As countries of the Pacific progressively adopt disability related social protection scheme, the webinar series provides an opportunity to reflect on how best social protection system can support inclusion of persons with disabilities across the life cycle.

The series is a component of the Module 7 of the part of the PDF training on CRPD Compliant Public Policy for an Inclusive Pacific 2030 for government disability focal point and OPDs delivered in partnership with CIP, CBM Australia and PIFS.

Articulating country examples with review of global trends and evidence, the webinar series will review with Government focal points and OPDs key issues related to three main components of social protection systems:


  *   Part 1: (12 August, 9 am Fiji time): Cash transfers for the inclusion of persons with disabilities
  *   Part 2: (19 August, 9am Fiji time): Support services, Universal health coverage and concessions
  *   Part 3: (26 August, 9am Fiji time): Disability assessment and certification and case management
The webinar series open to all interested colleagues and complement an initial online self-paced module open to registered participants of the PDF training programs.
The module on social protection is supported by UNICEF in continuation of the collaboration initiated during the UNICEF-ILO-UNPRDP inclusive social protection initiative and the webinar series by DFAT SP4P program.
